Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and passionate Back of House Barista to join our team. This role is dedicated to preparing exceptional coffee beverages, specialty flavored teas, and refreshing flavored lemonades for our guests. Unlike a traditional barista position, this role focuses on beverage preparation in a back-of-house setting, ensuring that every drink meets our high standards for quality, consistency, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare all coffee beverages, including drip coffee, espresso-based drinks, and specialty coffee creations according to recipes and quality standards.
• Craft specialty flavored teas and lemonades with precision, ensuring balanced flavors and appealing presentation.
• Follow all recipe specifications for flavored syrups, garnishes, and custom blends.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the beverage preparation area, including equipment, tools, and storage areas.
• Monitor inventory of coffee, tea, syrups, and related supplies; communicate replenishment needs to management.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other beverage equipment.
• Ensure proper food safety and sanitation practices are followed at all times.
• Work efficiently to meet beverage order demand during peak service periods.
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely delivery of beverages to guests.

Qualifications:

• Previous barista or beverage preparation experience preferred; specialty drink experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization.
• Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, espresso extraction, and tea preparation.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
• Comfortable working with hot beverages, steam, and kitchen equipment.
