The Key Employee is the person entrusted to hold it all together when the Manager is away, and the standard-bearer for everything 1983 stands for. What You’ll Do

  • Oversee all restaurant operations in the Manager's absence ensuring service, standards, and staff are running at their best
  • Be the first point of contact for team questions, guest concerns, and unexpected challenges during your shift
  • Hold the floor with confidence reading the room, adjusting on the fly, and keeping the energy right
  • Support and guide team members in real time, stepping in wherever the shift needs you
  • Resolve guest issues with professionalism, empathy, and Ro's commitment to exceptional hospitality
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are followed precisely when the Manager is not present
  • Accurately handle all cash, credit, and financial transactions during the shift — maintaining accountability and integrity at every step.
  • Communicate shift notes, incidents, financial and operational updates clearly to management
  • Uphold 1983’s standards for food quality, service pace, and guest experience without exception
  • Foster a positive, collaborative environment leading by example at every moment

What You Bring

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in hospitality or service
  • Strong communication skills — with staff and guests equally
  • Proven ability to stay composed and decisive under pressure
  • A flexible schedule with availability across all shifts
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and team success
  • Familiarity with restaurant operations and service flow
  • Prior experience as a server or bartender in an upscale concept
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Able to multi-task effectively in a high-volume environment
  • Capable of developing and growing hospitality teams
